Traveling with a newborn seems difficult until you have traveled with a 2-year-old :). Don't worry I am not here to scare you. The key to having a smooth journey is to plan everything ahead and keep the baby engaged. I recently took my first vacation in 3 years!! But things were different this time as we had our 2-year-old with us. I have traveled a lot after I had my baby, but all those trips were exclusively to my parents. There was always some or the other family celebration. So, this time we decided to take a much-needed break and go on a vacation to Goa . It was the first vacation for my toddler and also his first time seeing a beach and sea. I planned things ahead and we had an amazing time. Traveling with a newborn- all you need to know.

  Traveling with a newborn can always be tricky, especially if you are first time parents. Things can get overwhelming at times, and it is always best to prepare ahead of time. When is it safe to travel with a newborn? In general, it is not recommended to travel with a newborn during the first month. Our body needs to heal postpartum and also the baby needs time to adjust to the new world outside of womb. But it is always best to check with your doctor as well as the pediatrician. I had a caesarean delivery but with postpartum blues kicking in and no help whatsoever I had no choice but to go to my parents. I first checked in with my gynecologist if I was fit to fly. Once I got the go ahead, we then went and checked with the pediatrician. Since I had a healthy pregnancy and a full-term baby, we were given the go ahead after 3 weeks.
